Finding foods is badly done
The app is generally nice and stable and the food database is extensive (but US brands only). The main problem is that it is very tedious and frustrating to find the foods you want: selections must be made from a flat list that has no concept of "common" foods. Enter "milk" or "egg" or "yoghurt" and you get hundreds of mostly quite obscure variations instead, displayed with laborious-to-read comma-separated attributes and with no priority for what would obviously be the most frequently used item(s) (e.g. just a plain egg). A "most common" category or a tree view might solve the problem.
