This looked like a great app at first. I really liked the fact that it gave you a macronutrient breakdown as I like to follow the 40/40/20 ratio of carbs/proteins/fats. Unfortunately it only took me about five minutes to find two major flaws. The first is inconvenient, the second renders the app completely useless.
The first flaw is that there is no barcode scanner. I guess I wrongly assumed that for the hefty price tag it would be included since this is a fairly standard feature of calorie counter apps.
The killer, however, is that the information contained in their database is wrong. I compared the information from the app to the manufacturers label on 5 brand name items in my kitchen. Of the five items, only one matched between the label and the app. Some of the discrepancies were very large. I do not see how it can accurately track anything.
It is useless and I would like my four dollars back.
